Why Product Vision is very important for a startup?

If you are a startup, change your goal and vision to make a great product than making money.

How is product vision more important than business/money at the early startup?. Yes, everybody invests back or bootstrap during the early startup life. But I have seen/read so many startups quit or move towards another industry where they could be able to make more money.

If your vision is towards making money than making a great product or selling a great product, you will move to a different industry or product when your business is low.

Startups never meant to quit. One of the biggest inspirations for me is BookmyShow(BigTree) which started in 1998. The founders waited 10 years to turn that BigTree into BookmyShow(2007), and even interesting fact is the company became the number one ticketing platform tool in the next few years.

They had the patience to become successful instead of giving up and moving towards something else. So many startup examples we could take for patience and success. If you have any, leave them in the comment below.

To end this, I would like to share a few of Steve Jobs's product vision thoughts from Apple.

1. The goal is not to make money, but to make great products.

2. Focus on the experience.

3. Don't sell products and sell dreams.

4. Find an enemy, not a competitor.

and last but not least, 5. You don't have to be the first, You have to be the best.
